Whether it is an intensive yoga, gentle yoga, or a calming relaxation session, our personalized instruction is tailored to the individual needs and practice levels and is aimed at bringing the student into balance. A return to the traditional way of learning yoga, the one-on-one teaching modality is critical in the beginning stages of yoga training in order to obtain a solid understanding of proper alignment and creating a strong practice. The instruction will gradually and systematically build stamina, strength, and flexibility. These sessions are also suitable for experienced students whose schedule would not allow for attending regular yoga classes and could be offered in the convenience of their home, office, or outside. 60 or 90-minute sessions.
If your schedule is too busy to allow you to attend a class and you spend most of your time at work, we can bring individual instruction directly to your personal office. 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions.
In individual yoga therapy sessions the principles of yoga are simplified and applied through a customized practice to promote musculoskeletal and physical health, reduction and control of stress, as well as balance between body, mind energy, and emotions. 45, 60, or 90-minute sessions.
I first started studying Thai Yoga Massage to add an extra modality in my yoga teaching practice and I fell in love with this healing system and the amazing well-being benefits it offers. The ancient healing art of Thai Yoga has roots in Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine. In Thailand it is now also known as Nuat Boran and is one of the core aspects of traditional Thai medicine. Nuad means "to touch with the intent to impart healing”, boran means "something which is ancient & revered." The sessions are one-on-one and traditionally performed on a floor mat in loose and comfortable clothing. A significant part of the practice of Thai massage consists of yogic stretchess intended to clear energy blockages and stimulate energy centers. Often described as assisted hatha yoga, Thai Yoga bodywork brings very similar benefits to the ones you receive from a yoga practice, while in addition it utilizes acupressure, palming, thumbing along energy lines, kneading, gentle stretching, rhythmic motion, and reflexology. Thai Yoga improves circulation, relieves muscular tension, boosts immune function, and balances the body energetically. 60 or 90-minute sessions.
My passion for Argentine Tango and the years I spent immersed into the beauty of this dance modality have inspired me to look at ways in which yoga can address the needs of dancers looking to improve their balance, flexibility, core strength, range of movement, grace, and inner connection to the art form of dance. In Yoga for Dancers we bring attention to understanding proper breathing in the context of learning to keep alignment and balance undisturbed in the dance flow. Ultimately, both in yoga and dance we seek the underlying state of bliss that lies in transcending the mind. The Yoga for Dancers classes focus on cultivating our inner awareness, feeling its deep presence into our core, and radiating it outward into an expression of beauty, calm, and grace.
Yoga has proven its effectiveness as a safe, health-promoting, self-motivating and enjoyable fitness program for the elderly. Yoga for Seniors provides a comprehensive routine of gentle exercises (most of which can be modified for chair or bed), breathing techniques, and meditation with the purpose of promoting overall physical and mental well-being. The postures are presented in an easy to follow, accessible manner with plenty of time for modifications.
In this day and age it is crucially important to introduce new avenues for teenagers to cope with the demands and stresses of school and social life. Yoga classes can give young people tools to manage successfully their daily lives and can support the multiple sports, academic and social activities in their daily schedule. Yoga programs that are carefully designed to the needs of this age group are also helpful for coping with stress, warding off depression, boosting mood, developing self-regulatory skills such as resilience and anger management, and cultivating mindfulness.
Yoga getaways are held for small groups and you will have the opportunity to relax, energize, and rejuvenate your physical body, mind and spirit. They are an ideal opportunity for meeting like-minded people and immersing oneself into an environment of authentic interacting and learning. The focus is on cultivating self-awareness, mindfulness, acceptance, and connecting to your deeper purpose and essence. The Yoga Retreats are designed to help restore your inner and outer balance, inspiration, and creative flow.
